We were blessed with an AMAZING PANEL. Diverse, funny, with so much love for all the characters, discussion of everything from bisexuality on TV to characters development and funny anecdotes.

So much love going both ways.

Some inevitable mentions of Sterek here and there, slightly awkward but nothing extreme and nothing Jeff and the moderator of the panel couldn’t deal with.

Some amazing cosplayers of various characters and so much excitement for all the season 3 reveals.

And overall so much heart and love and genuine feelings from both the audience and the two guests who were definitely, obviously, delighted and having a blast.

And what people are doing in the tag? saying “I hate this fandom” because of the few Sterek mentions in the panel, a side saying Posey was ignored (WHAT??) and the Sterek fans are the devil, and the other side being extremely aggressive about their Sterek shipping.

WHAT ABOUT THE 90% OF US IN THE FUCKIN MIDDLE WHO LOVE THE SHOW AND EVERYONE IN IT AND ALSO STEREK AND IT’S ALL FINE??
What about how probably 90% of the panel was NOT about Sterek and was about the show as a whole? how about this show functions with a main cast group, more than a solo character hence why everyone was talking about everyone.

Don’t do this guys, don’t make drama out of something that wasn’t drama. There will always be some awkward moments in fannish panels, of any kind, but for a fandom that has an history of being frankly pushy about its main slash ship (and i think people should know that it has come to a point where this is useless and awkward more than anything to constantly shout about it, im 150% convinced the message has been received loud and clear, take a break, support it in a quiet, strong way….) or shame some of its shippers one way or the other, it was a surprisingly peaceful, characters driven panel and it is NOT the epic fail that some are trying to say it was. So. Far. From. If.
come on guys.

#fandom #the conflict only exists because you create it #most of this fandom is moderate about everything #and able to enjoy without the extremes
