I am not the authority on Race.
Okay, first let me say that I am always happy to answer questions to the best of my ability, but I feel like it’s reached a point where I’m starting to speak FOR PoCs. I am a white girl. I cannot speak for them, especially when they have voices that work perfectly well and if you want more information and a deeper understanding, it’s their words, not the words of a privileged white girl you should be taking in.
I only know the things that I know because I read their words first. SO! In that spirit, I’d like to give you a list of resources to look over.

These are all things that I have found thoroughly useful and informative. Race and issues of Privilege are VERY complex concepts and the discussions about them are varied and diverse. I shouldn’t be your only source of information. I encourage you to follow blogs and check other websites where these conversations are ongoing. Educate yourselves! It’s no one’s responsibility to educate you, especially when the resources are out there, all you have to do is look for them.
Having said all that, let me reiterate: I am happy to answer questions to the best of my ability or direct you to places where the question has already been answered. Also, let me put it out there that if you send me an ask under your actual username and not anonymously, I’m happy to reply privately if you indicate you’d prefer I not publish your ask.
Seriously if you still have questions or reservations, I’m begging you to read these links.
