knot-all-men:

no? i don’t know who everyone is.

whittenomore made a post about it a few weeks ago, and i asked if it’d be cool if i drew it. it took me a while because i kept getting stuck with lydia then giving up and lying on the floor instead

and um, i have sterek blacklisted right at the moment so i haven’t seen anything like that. tbh i don’t really see those roles working for derek and stiles? maybe!! but i see it more for lydia and stiles. they’re not a huge ship for me, but gosh their friendship and growth! and i can recognise how well the roles of mulder and scully would suit them, you know?

which is why i wanted to draw it.

i’m going to bed rn so if you had a follow-up question i’ll answer it tomorrow!

People have been talking about the Mulder and Scully parallels with Lydia and Stiles for a while now, Anon! (It’s an idea I love!)

Also, not to put too fine a point on it, just because other Sterek fans are talking about it doesn’t mean they or any other part of fandom own the idea? Lets be fair about this okay! :) All the AUs for all the ships!

PS: Don’t forget not everyone is a fan of Derek/Stiles, there are many Teen Wolf fans who are interested in other pairings too!

Longer Chris/Stiles fic, sent to me by Anon #1

(SERIOUSLY THIS IS SLKDJDFLKJFLJ THANK YOU ANON!)

Chris felt teeth sinking into his hand. He lamented their loss when his low rumble of a noise shocked the boy into letting his jaw un-lock. Stiles jerked, but only managed to wedge himself closer into Chris’ hold.

“D-dude… that was not a pain sound.”

Chris watched the hair on the back of Stiles' neck rise and felt a smirk snaking across his mouth. "What the f-" (1/2)

…………..

I made a text post tonight about the Emmy awards and I didn't word a few things correctly and now I've accidentally set off a mini-political shitstorm and people are reblogging it and calling me stupid and a crazy fan and other mean things. What do I do?? D:

Anonymous

Oh holy cow, I am so sorry. :(

I feel you, I have made posts that have erupted into crappy 500 note behemoths of unpleasantness.

First, turn off anon asks for a bit. Don’t sweat the haters.

You can handle it one of 2 ways, IMHO:

1) If you really did say something not-so-great, that is okay! Everyone makes mistakes. Acknowledging your mistake is a good place to start. Even if you just came off badly or heck maybe people misunderstood you, just reblog your post once and clarify or apologize as you see fit.

Then let it go and don’t come back to it.

I don’t recommend deleting because everyone will see the reblogs and…well, I’m a big supporter of owning what you post, even if its not so great.

So yeah, clarify(or defend)/apologize/make a final statement on the subject & walk away.

Here is the other option:

2) Just walk away.

Just drop it and let it go. Make sure you have your notifications turned off & again, no anon asks. Just let it go and chalk it up as an experience that will help you in the future.

I know these arent really helpful but its just my personal way of dealing with stuff like that on tumblr. Trust me, I have done both.

Obviously this is based on the vagueness of your ask. It could change somewhat depending on what was said.

Good luck!

Dear Anon,

Got your note! Its all good, ty for explaining! Just let me know what tag would work best for you & I’ll do my absolute best to make sure every post will be tagged.

How do you feel about the people who say they hate the subject/fandom you draw for but love your art?

Anonymous

That is totally cool by me, different strokes for different folks!

That being said, if all my teen wolf bothers you maybe unfollow for a bit and check my art tag occasionally?

My feelings aren’t hurt if people unfollow me, its all good. Fandoms and tastes don’t always flow the same way. :) So, no worries!

Your amazing Team Jones artsies have inspired me to start drawing and crafting the boys again after a few solid months of being in an awful McKirk-less art block. Because of this I feel that I owe you something, but until I can come up with what that may be, consider this a thank you. Thank you for being creative and a wonderful artist and appeasing to your fans with your livestreams, you are truly someone whom I look up to <3

Oh holy crap, anon, you are so nice. <3333 Thank you! Seriously you don’t owe me a damn thing, this fandom is full of incredible inspirational talents that have spurred me on. Everyone is so so so supportive. :’) It’s freakin sweet! But I must thank you for the lovely message, it really made my day! And hahaha, livestreams are also super indulgent on my part, you guys are all so sweet to sit there and listen to me ramble about nothing.

Anyways, dude, if you REALLY want to ‘pay me back’ just DRAW SOME JIM/BONES and share it with the world. 8D I am so very easy to please!

And now I will say the nicest thing a Jones fan could say to another…

But, listen to me, I’m not blaming poor people at all. I am blaming a lazy society. Do you think that downloading comics on top of the drop in usual profits will help the industry? It’s just making things worse than they already are.
Many people who download movies, music, comics etc actually have the money to buy these things and don’t because they just get them for free. (many of the torrenters I have known are like that) They just don’t think their money will make a difference. They spend their money on other things. They think…Oh it’s a huge company they already have tons of money. They won’t miss mine.
And I am just saying that that’s not true.
Marvel and DC are well aware of artists drawing their characters for money, they encourage it. Many artists sell prints of copyrighted characters at comic book shows. The editors of those companies even go buy prints from them.
But that is so so so so so different from taking something that has been published and put on the shelf for money.
So, no, I am not blaming poor people for all of the comic book industry’s problems. There is a LOT more to it than just torrenting comics, but little old me certainly couldn’t rant about all of them competently.
But I do know two things: 1) Torrenting comics hurts the industry 2) Spreading the word and making people aware that it DOES hurt may make them stop.
It’s not whether they’re rich or poor, whatever their motivation, people torrent. And if they want to keep the comics industry alive they should think twice about that. That’s all I am saying.
